Dance Factory, our new home

The studio is located near the Virginia Square metro exit. Parking is available at the studio, and they offer affordable group and private lesson rates.

I'm so thankful to my friends and family, who have gone above and beyond the call of duty as Roxi and I have changed studio locations. During this last week we have experienced overwhelming support from our dance friends, who have helped to assure us, and stay wih us, during this exciting time of transition. Last night we all went out for dancing to celebrate the news of our new job and studio home. It was great to be surrounded by friends, some of whom I haven't seen in months, and in some cases years!
Linda Ha was at the helm of our celebration committee. She was so full of cheer when she heard the news, she literally leaped in the air, jumping for joy. She danced with jazz hands the entire evening, even when she waltzed. Linda Ha, who volunteers as a dance instructor for Light House for the Blind, is also professional life coach and consultant. Roxi and I are so happy that she has supported our decision to move, it helps us know that we've made the right decision.
Also in appearance this weekend was Terry Chasteen. We're so happy that Terry has been introduced to our Bethesda area students, dance family, and friends. Terry is a great source of advice for our former students, who are looking for alternative dance venues and options in a Bethesda and Rockville area. He can be reached at 202 462 0870. We are comforted in knowing that our former students have Terry and his roster local dance professionals, to offer advice and alternatives as they continue with their dancing in the Bethesda/Rockville area.

    Jemma Revere This is very good news for everyone. People just love the dance factory they have a very good reputation in your area. Mike, with all your years of experience you will fit in there very very well. I am just a wee bit disappointed that you didn't take the option to teach at Chevy Chase Ballroom. You do know that I attended their Salsa Rueada parties all the time. Also as a big plus I am considering to start my training in International Standard with Paul Huston. If you haven't heard of him, he an Austrailian instructor, who was refered to me by Jose Feleciano. By comparison Paul is a much better dancer than your former employer and he also has a relatively cleaner relationship history. Now tell me, what are you and Roxi's plans for the wedding when will you set the new date? Will I be invited? Can I bring Oliver along with me? I am also wondering what Don Beedie is up to these days. Also I just had the opportunity to speak with Barbara the divine Fordham. She ws shocked that Arthur Murray is suing Daria and Dimitri. Shame onArthur Murray. Really. People so need to get a life. If only everyone could be as wonderful and fabulous as I am, then we wouldn't have any problems.

    Terry Chasteen Thanks Mike. I too cannot be happier about your change, though I hope you can still teach here at CCB as well on occasion. I know former students of yours who are looking forward to that possibility.
    I will be seeing you at Dance Factory for some of your events. I have gone there numerous times for social dancing; have never been one of those concerned about supporting other reputable studios in the area plus I know and like a lot of the people there. Good luck, I know that the Good Lord meant for this to be.
