This weekend I got to chat with David Warren, of the legendary Orioles.
The Orioles were a R&B group of the early 1950s, one of the earliest doo-wop groups, who celebrated their 68th anniversary with us at Mr. Henry's.
The Orioles are generally acknowledged as R&B's first vocal group.
Coincidentally, David is also Roberta Flack's cousin, who recorded her first record in the upstairs jazz lounge at #MrHenrysDC
